The summer term was our most successful term ever for in-school events, and the autumn term offers the largest number of live events so far in the programme, including the EdTech Hubs National Summit at Samsung KX. Bookings will open later in September – but pencil the date in your diary for 25th November 2024.

Also new for September is our Secondary Digital Leaders Support forum, which is a new opportunity for like-minded secondary leaders to come together to share their experiences and suggestions for progressing the use of technology across secondary schools. Sign up for the first session here on the 25th of September. Supported by Ribblesdale School, RGS Worcester and Roding Valley High School in Epping.

New for the autumn term is our developing Centre of Excellence in Robotics at St Joesphs RC Primary school in Islington which offers in-school visits to see Robotics in action across the curriculum and then follow-up visits for teachers to bring a small number of pupils to hands-on workshops. IncludED Update

Our inclusion support focuses on Universal Design for Learning this academic year, and we have been creating a new portal which will be ready to launch later this term. We will also be running pilots on UDL approaches in Tower Hamlets and Liverpool schools which will deliver new impact case studies to help all schools harness the power of this truly inclusive approach to everyday teaching and learning. Until then, you can access our current UDL resources here.

Would you like the opportunity for your KS5 students to sketch from the Art inside Buckingham Palace?

In partnership with LGfL, The Royal Collection Trust would like to invite you to Buckingham Palace on Wednesday, October 2nd, for an inspiring art-focused Key Stage 5 event.

The afternoon will include an insightful talk for your students by artist Jonathan Yeo, painter of the latest portrait of His Majesty The King, commissioned by The Drapers’ Company.

There will also be talks by Royal Collection Trust curators about some of the wonderful paintings on display in the palace and opportunities for careers in the sector. Students will not only be provided with the opportunity to examine works by Old Masters such as Vermeer, Rembrandt, and Rubens, but also to sketch from them in The State Rooms at Buckingham Palace.

Booking is essential as there are limited places available for schools to book this unique opportunity.

The event will run from 12:30pm to 3:00pm (entry between 12:00pm and 12:15pm)

The cost is £6 per student, with teacher places free of charge to a specific ratio.
