We are pleased to announce the launch of our new dyslexia portal, a resource created in partnership with theIslington Dyslexia Network (IDN) to support schools in the field of dyslexia and link to supportive resources.
Dyslexia varies from person to person, and no two people with dyslexia will have the same strengths and weaknesses.
This resource as well as signposting to support resources features bespoke videos from experts in the area of dyslexia.
Just2Easy has just launched its new tool, J2journal.
With J2journal, teachers can create a journal for each class, adding files to build a learning portfolio. A range of files, from staff to pupil files, can be added and tagged against any pupils involved in that particular piece of work. Parents can access the journal from the Parent Portal and view only files their child is tagged in, enabling parents to celebrate their child’s achievements. It provides an alternative to other portfolio-type resources at zero cost for LGfL schools. To learn more about J2journal or other tools, consider attending one of the Just2Easy live training sessions.
eSports at Samsung KX
LGfL supported an exciting esports event last week at Samsung KX organised by Pip Bhol from Kings Cross Academy and Nic Hughes from Ragland Primary Enfield. It was a fantastic event involving a group of Islington schools. Using the huge screen at Samsung KX, groups competed against each other on Mario Kart, after in-school tournaments to select the final team. The day culminated in a spectacular final celebration. We were blown away by how the teams worked well together, celebrated their successes and also displayed resilience and supportive teamwork. We hope this is the start of a regular and wider event.
