Reflections on the EdTech Hubs National Summit

In November, educators and digital leaders from across England gathered for the EdTech Hubs Summit, a day dedicated to sharing the latest research and fostering collaboration. The event was a hub of energy, offering attendees practical insights into the future of digital transformation in education.

The agenda tackled the most pressing challenges facing school leaders today, with deep dives into:

  • Strategic Leadership & Change: Managing organisational shifts in a digital-first environment.

  • Effective Pedagogy: Aligning technology with proven teaching methods.

  • Funding & Sustainability: Practical strategies for acquiring and managing EdTech budgets.

A standout moment of the summit was the Live Lesson initiative. This session provided a powerful demonstration of teaching and learning in action, modelling how a 1:1, on-demand device ratio can be utilised to create a seamless and inclusive classroom experience.

The initiative offered a clear blueprint for how technology, when used effectively, can enhance student engagement and personalise learning at scale.

Bett 2026

At Bett 2026, LGfL continues its tradition of hosting high-impact "Live Lessons" designed to show EdTech in a real-world context, featuring actual teachers and students working together in a "live classroom" environment.
Unlike traditional seminars, these sessions involve:
  • Live Students: Classes from LGfL Edtech hub schools participate in real-time lessons.

  • 1:1 Device Ratios: Demonstrating how on-demand access to devices changes classroom dynamics.

Adaptive Pedagogy: Showing how teachers can pivot and personalise learning instantly using cloud tools and inclusive apps.

LGfL will be at BETT 2026! So join us on stand SP30 and watch one of the live lessons in the

'Live classroom theatre'

 Wednesday 21 January – Friday 23 January 2026.

 ExCeL London

Tickets are complimentary for educators, school leaders, and representatives from government/non-profit organisations.
