Spotlight on Computer Science
This resource simplifies curriculum planning by consolidating LGfL's award-winning resources into a single, accessible platform.
On Tuesday, the 14th of January, the LSSO performed at the Barbican with an impressive and epic tour of the orchestra before reaching for the stars with Holst's cosmic masterpiece.
This was part of the LSSO planned calendar of musical concerts and was preceded by eight days of intensive rehearsal and coaching.

The London Schools Symphony Orchestra (LSSO) is a full symphonic orchestra made up of musicians drawn from students in London schools and led by professional conductors and soloists.
It was founded in 1951 and is considered one of the finest youth orchestras in the world. Find out more here
Join the LSSO for two concerts: April 15th at Milton Court Concert Hall, and April 23rd for Guildhall's Carnegie Hall Link-Up, "The Orchestra Sings," engaging 300+ primary school students.

LGfL Polar resources - a reminder
LGfL has comprehensive resources to support the topic of Polar exploration
Polar Exploration in the heroic age of scientific discovery, features artefacts from the Scott Polar Research Institute, the world famous institute for the study of the science, technology, history, and culture of the polar regions. The resources feature carefully curated assets from some of the most iconic polar expeditions of all time
Polar exploration,
provides comprehensive support for primary teachers teaching a topic about the Polar Regions. Real-life Polar Explorer (Antony Jinman) shares his experiences from expeditions to Antarctica and the Arctic. Resources explore the history of Polar exploration through time and offer a wide range of ideas and lesson activities to help deliver the topic.
The LGfL curriculum team supported Edward Wilson Primary School in Westminster to maximise the legacy of their school namesake by making the most of the LGfL Polar Curriculum support resources. The case study here below shows how the school endeavours to uphold the school motto of ‘To seek, to find and not to yield’, the final verse of Tennyson's poem Ulysses which was inscribed on the cross which is overlooks the Great Lake on Observation Hill in Antarctica, where Edward Wilson, Captain Robert Scott and the rest of the exploration party died.
EdTech hubs TV
The recently launched EdTech Hubs TV offers regular updates from the EdTech Community. Every episode is packed full of interesting updates and insights into the Ed Tech hub programme and can be accessed from your podcast channel or via the LGfL EdTech Hubs portal

Episode 2 ends with a special treat with pupils from Harewood Primary School explaining about their rather different journey to Bett.
