Security School Report

We're really excited to be testing a new tool!

Did you know that much of the information hackers and bots use for cyberattacks is actually publicly available, so your vulnerabilities may be being ‘advertised’ online?

We're currently testing a tool that will review your school's vulnerabilities and then show you how you can fix them. Visit us at the Bett Show (we will be on Stand NF31 with our famous barista - book your place here) for you to take away a personalised report of your school's vulnerabilities with details on how you can improve your Security School Report.

War in Ukraine

There has been a lot of talk about cyberattacks linked to the war in Ukraine and awareness that this may impact organisations in the UK. The National Cyber Security Centre (part of GCHQ) has said "While the NCSC is not aware of any current specific threats to UK organisations in relation to events in and around Ukraine, there has been a historical pattern of cyber attacks on Ukraine with international consequences."

NCSC has updated Actions to take when the cyber threat is heightened, which includes the following key points you can look at:

Sophos

It's not to late to sign up for our Sophos Surgeries at Bett, where we'll be offering a hands-on review of Sophos Central to health check your school's current settings and provide guidance on how to get the most out of the Sophos licenses available to LGfL schools. 

Don't presume your settings are correct - if you haven't looked recently, make sure everything is giving you maximum protection by attending one of these dedicated 15-minute sessions.
