Safer Internet Day

To help put your pupil's voices at the heart of Safer Internet Day on 7th of February, we've put together a toolkit with ideas to plan your approach for this year's theme: 'Want to talk about it? Making space for conversations about life online’. 

Why not get pupils to film each other, using our sample questions to find out what they like doing online? You could follow up by sending the video to parents to encourage a conversation on shared expectations, play it at an assembly or use it as a discussion starter in class.

Use this parent email template to share practical tips and strategies with parents and carers and promote engagement with this year's theme. You could also run your own parent session directly from our dedicated parent portal at parentsafe.lgfl.net.

Film your teachers sharing what they like doing online and why. 

Remember to focus on the positives, and ask pupils to come up with top tips to help their teachers have a safe and rewarding experience.

If your pupils have taken the Safeskills Online Safety Quiz, why not celebrate their achievements by downloading their certificates and sharing progress with parents? Remember you can also review their aggregated data to shape your online safety curriculum. Learn more: safeskillsinfo.lgfl.net

Adobe Digital Leaders Session:

Why not sign up for for a 90 min Adobe Express session to learn to create digital media for Safer Internet Day:

• Thurs 2nd Feb, 1.15 - 2.45pm 
• Tues 7th Feb, 1.15 - 2.45pm
