Welcome to the new school year. We hope you had a well-deserved rest and time to recharge. Your inboxes and to-do lists will already be full, so below is just a brief list of our key safeguarding updates and FREE training and resources:

1. Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025 is out on 1 September. Visit kcsie.lgfl.net for:

   • Overview of changes - video and powerpoint to help you discuss KCSIE updates with staff
   • Staff KCSIE Quizzes - use these to evidence your staffs' understanding of the guidance and see the national knowledge gaps from last year.
   • Translations of Part 1 in 13 community languages - due next week!

2. New Online Safety Policy, AUPs & Template Letters - 

   These have all been updated to reflect the latest guidance and emerging risks, including AI, chatbots and financial exploitation. These are all ready for you to customise and download at safepolicies.lgfl.net

3. Training -

   Our suite of training is refreshed and ready to book: Online Sexual Abuse, Neglect, Prevent, Child Criminal Exploitation, Working with Parents and Safeguarding Training for School Governors - these are FREE and open to ALL schools. For schools that buy their broadband from LGfL, we also offer DSL training (New to Role and a Biannual Refresher) saving you £££'s- see safetraining.lgfl.net

4. Filtering -

   We've updated our resources for DSLs, SLT and governors and made our 30-minute training self-service. Take a look and remember we have templates for audits, checks and reminders for staff - more at safefiltering.lgfl.net

5. Monitoring with Senso -

   Hundreds of schools now access LGfL-Senso monitoring, and the data being generated is extremely helpful in thinking about how we can better safeguard children. To find out more, visit monitoring.lgfl.net
   

6. SEND DSL Forum - 

    Are you a DSL working with SEND pupils? Did you know we run a half-termly forum to meet others in similar roles and explore safeguarding themes that are particularly pertinent to disabled children? Take a look and book your place: sendforum.lgfl.net

7. Safeguarding Posters - 

   To help refresh your classroom displays, our free posters cover a range of topics. Great to start those key safeguarding conversations and signpost to support - download at safeposters.lgfl.net
