Digital Media use in Early Years Settings

• Most children are interacting with some form/s of digital media in their first year of life. 
• Good practice needs to start early and so it's critical that early years settings are cognisant of their approach and how they support children and families with their safe use of digital media.

• An Online Safety Audit for non-school based Early Years Settings (school-based settings can use this version).

Engaging with Parents to Safeguard Children -

FREE training and resources

We cannot effectively safeguard children, without effectively engaging parents and carers. Yet doing so, can be one of the most difficult elements of being a DSL. We offer free training to LGfL schools where you will be supported to explore:

• what relational practice is and how a relational approach can improve parental engagement
• the principles for having challenging yet necessary conversations about safeguarding
• tips for managing conflict within relationships with parents

In addition to our training, explore our free resources to support your relational practice, including a template for planning courageous conversations, and a parent partnership strategy template.

Getting Secondary School Ready

The move from primary to secondary school is a big one, and risk around contextual harm increases. To help, distribute this leaflet to pupils and their families, or better still, talk through some of the principles in a workshop or lesson.
