Welcome to your November edition of LGfL's inclusion and wellbeing newsletter. As we enter another national lockdown, the challenges for all educators continue for those of us who support inclusion in our communities.

This month, Monday 16th sees the beginning of Anti-Bullying week, which gives an important opportunity in the year to educate our communities, promote tolerance and unite against bullying. Check out our blog post, which includes some links to helpful resources. 

We are all still facing complex and challenging times, in light of this the IncludED team is listening to the community and working as hard as possible to provide the support you need. Read on to find out about our new training and resources to support you and your school community plus lots more.

Thank you to everyone who responded to us about the times and days that you are most able to attend online training sessions. We have listened to this and you'll see some changes to the training schedule we offer for the rest of the autumn term. 

This month we would love to find out how prepared you feel to meet the needs of your learners with SEND. It's two questions so should only take a few seconds to complete. As always we greatly value your input.  

DfE's Edtech Demonstrator Programme - Edtech Week!

From the 9th to the 14th November Edtech Demonstrator Schools will be holding a FREE six-day online EdTech event, #EdTechWeek2020. Designed to celebrate the work of the EdTech Demonstrator Schools and Colleges, and to support educators across the UK, in bringing technology into every aspect of their work, both in the classroom and remotely.

There are two sessions specifically aimed at SEND and Inclusion.

School Based Training and SENCO Forums

Whether your team is returning to school or you are holding a virtual SENCO forum, Adam would be delighted to deliver online training and updates about the IncludED service. Spotlight Resource of the Month

LGfL's Widgit resources include not only access to individual Widgit symbols, but also 1000s of ready made resources ranging from symbolised text, fun activities and symbol supported worksheets. For November and December, for example, there are resource bundles including Seasonal Resources such as: Winter, Winter Weather,

Bonfire Night, Christmas and Christmas Cards. There are also History Resources such as: Remembrance Day - Books and Remembrance Day - Activities
