LGfL Summer 1 Training 2022

Dear Colleague

Welcome to the summer 1 edition of your LGfL training sessions! These are provided at no extra charge for any schools and are a great way of engaging with the various LGfL teams: Inspire and IncludEd (curriculum and inclusion), DigiSafe (safeguarding and online safety), Tech Squad (including strategy and digital transformation) and Customer Success (onboarding team for new and returning schools). 

A reminder that all the sessions are live (not pre-recorded) which means delegates are able to ask questions and get answers throughout the sessions.

However, some of our partners (such as Google and Just2Easy) have also provided access to the recordings of past sessions (details below).

Summer 1 Training

Every Monday (in term time) between 15:45-16:45

The Big Staff Meeting is a one-hour online session designed to fit into a staff meeting. It will include training on our most used and versatile primary curriculum resources and demonstrate how they can be used to support your pupils.

N.B The Big Staff Meeting is aimed at individuals, Year Group teams or the whole teaching and support staff team - the choice is yours. (We require just one booking by an individual member of your staff who can then share the joining link with the team).

Adobe Spring Camp

Free Creative Cloud training

Following the success of Adobe’s Summer and Autumn Teacher Camps last year, they are offering again four creative courses taking place Tuesday-Thursday every week for three weeks from 19th April to 5th May at 6pm to 7:30pm. Registration here.

The series of courses aim to provide teachers with high-quality professional development designed to build their confidence in teaching digital skills and projects in their classrooms.

The free live Spring Camp offers four learning tracks for teachers:  

• Tuesday – Teaching Digital Graphics (course page)
• Wednesday – Teaching Design (course page) and Teaching Animation (course page)
• Thursday – Teaching Video and Audio (course page).

These courses would be ideal for schools wanting to make better use of their Adobe Creative Cloud Express tools and to get involved with LGfL's Amplify - to empower ALL student voices to amplify their stories and enable them to be heard by a global audience.
