Welcome to this special edition of the LGfL newsletter focussing purely on Adobe and why you should ensure you have claimed your free school licences. As part of your LGfL subscription, you can get free Adobe Creative Cloud licences as well as an unlimited number of Adobe Spark for Education licences at no additional cost.

Getting started with Adobe Creative Cloud

How to manage and assign your licences with the Adobe Admin Console Step by Step Guide:

For a deep dive into setting up Creative Cloud join one of the regular Tech Squad sessions aimed at IT partners; the next one is on the 15th February 2022 @11:00-12:00.

Getting support with Adobe Creative Cloud

Support is available 24/7 - just go to the ‘Support’ tab of your Admin Console and open a case or start a chat. (There is also a phone number should you prefer to speak to a humanbeing!)

From the support tab of your Admin Console, you can also book an Expert Session. This is a 30-minute session focused on a particular topic - which can cover an application workflow or setup, packaging and deployment of your applications.

Creative Cloud Express

Adobe Spark for Education is now known as Creative Cloud Express for Education. This new browser-based creativity tool brings together the Creative Cloud Express app, Photoshop Express, and Premiere Rush.  You can still use your old Spark passwords and any projects you have saved will still be available.

Adobe has worked with Google to make sure that Creative Cloud Express is fully compatible with Chromebooks.

Upcoming Events

An introduction to Photoshop for Education - join our Photoshop expert to learn some of the core concepts of Photoshop, and to see what is new in the industry standard image editing software. (On 3rd February at 15:30-16:30)

LGfL have partnered with Adobe and national charity Apps for Good. We will be offering training in App Creation using groundbreaking UI/UX design tool Adobe XD.

Become a Creative Ambassador

We are looking for staff who might be interested in becoming an LGfL Adobe Creative Ambassador. We (at Adobe) would work directly with you to understand how you use Adobe tools as part of your teaching and to offer support and assistance with a view to producing ‘best practice’ case studies. There might even be some Adobe swag on offer! Reach out to Alister Black - alblack@adobe.com
