LGfL Resource of the Month

EYFS Spotlight is a way of highlighting the many varied resources that LGfL offers to help your Early Years Foundation Stage setting. This resource aims to filter the extensive collection of LGfL content into popular EYFS themes/topics. 

Within each category you’ll find a variety of links to LGfL resources and suggested teaching ideas on how to use them within your Early Years setting. As some settings may have variations in naming of topics, please also read the topic descriptions to help you search for related content.

Rigolo French Update

For many years LGfL provided the popular Rigolo French learning resource for schools. Unfortunately, the LGfL version of the resource no longer works because of the flash coding platform it was built in.

After an extended period of commercial negotiations, we are disappointed to confirm that it has not been possible to reach an agreement with the publisher on behalf of LGfL schools for the new (non-flash version) of this resource for all LGfL primary schools at no additional cost.

However, we have managed to secure a 30% discount on the price for any LGfL school that would like to invest in the new version of this resource.

Just2easy Parent Portal

The just2easy parent portal is now available to LGfL schools. The system allows teachers to invite parents/carers to connect to their child(ren)'s learning on just2easy.

The just2easy team have also provided a template letter that you can adapt in order to inform your parents/carers about this portal. (You will need to be logged in to your j2e account in order to access the template).

Just2easy Quick Bites Webinar Series

Just2easy have just launched a free "quick-bite" webinar series. Starting at 3:30pm every Monday in July and August, exploring a different tool each week for 15 minutes.

MIcrosoft Black History

Microsoft's Black History programme, in collaboration with museums, historic landmarks, cultural centres and civic influencers, is a FREE series of immersive and interactive experiences for schools and the community in North America to celebrate and educate students about Black History.

Following its huge success, Microsoft are exploring the creation of new immersive experiences for schools in the UK, to educate and celebrate local changemakers and the history of black people in the UK. Adobe - The Great Untold

It’s been an exhausting academic year so Adobe and Netflix have created a simple, guided filmmaking project called THE GREAT UNTOLD. They believe it could be perfect as an end of year school celebration or summer holiday challenge for your students using Adobe Spark or Rush.

Here’s a video about how THE GREAT UNTOLD works in three easy steps:

Adobe - XD Snacks

Any educators with an interest in Experience Design are invited to join Adobe for their XD Snacks sessions in July. This live sessions with the XD team will include demos, ideas and plenty of chances to ask questions.

Minecraft-Spark Challenge
