Have Your Say
We want to start getting more feedback from the LGfL community. Therefore, we are going to pose different questions on a monthly basis, starting with the same question asked in last month's IncludEd newsletter:
From September 2021 would you attend a live conference/large scale event?
Check out the whole training portalfor online training events which are included in your school's Let's Get Digital subscription and are therefore *free* for LGfL schools staff to attend. As a subscriber to this newsletter, you should have also received a summer 1 training bulletin listing all the available training for May 2021.
Two such LGfL training sessions are also highlighted below (click on the image to book).
This half term's remaining Google trainingsessionsare as follows ( and perfect for those who have recently invested in Chromebooks with LGfL's Bridge the Divide devices campaign):
Dr Fiona Aubrey-Smith (Director, One Life Learning) will be calling school staff to action to shift the narrative from EdTech to Pedtech. Fully online and free to attend as part of the EdTech Festival.
Tuesday, June 22, 2021, 12-1:15 p.m. PST(ie 7-8:15pm BST).
This free online Google for Education event will focus on how we can prepare for - and rebuild to improve - the future of learning. Learn more and register today.
Immersive Learning Resources - Early Adopter Schools
Discovery Education has chosen LGfL as lead strategic partner to pilot the next generation of immersive learning resources for schools using the latest Augmented Reality technology.
This partnership begins with an opportunity for interested ‘early adopter schools’ to try out their new “Sandbox” platform using iPad’s (2017 models or later) in early July. If you would like to have early access to this new platform and have iPad’s that are 2017 or newer in July 2021, please email contentsupport@lgfl.net
In the autumn, there will be an opportunity for interested schools to take part in a structured and fully supported immersive technology pilot which will explore the opportunities for augmented and virtual reality approaches across the primary and secondary curriculum using a range of immersive platforms including Adobe Aero and Discovery Education’s new ‘Sandbox’.
Further details about this opportunity will feature in the July edition of the LGfL newsletter.

We have recently published a curriculum blog to help you with ideas for how to use LGfL resources to support you during MWL.
With Maths Week London taking place later this month, we thought it was a good time to remind you of Maths in The Real World. A comprehensive resource that brings engaging and relatable real-world contexts into everyday teaching.
The activities are clearly signposted through the curriculum search feature and ensure there is something for all ability levels. It's been carefully designed in line with the national curriculum and helps hone the life skill of problem-solving!

Just2easy
If you are an LGfL primary school and you are not currently using the just2easy platform, please read this case study about Mulberry staff's use during lockdown and their continued use for digital homework and plans to use it to enable more collaboration including blogging and website building.
The Just2easy team'sJ2skills drop-in sessions continue to grow in popularity. If you have any J2e related questions, want to talk to the resident J2e experts, or want to network with other teachers, why not join them? Held virtually every Tuesday 3:40-4:40.

New lesson library plus more "pin" features!
Pinning activities for pupils is one of our most popular features in Busy Things amongst teachers. Pinning activities is a quick way of putting an activity (and instructions) in front of your pupils. This is why they have decided to spend some time making some ready-made pins and putting them into a Lesson library. Their NEW Lesson library can be found on the Welcome screen and also within the Teacher hub of your Class setup. They have begun with a selection of Computing and Maths lesson pins, and they would love your feedback before adding more.

Celebration/Ambition/Inspiration
Edtech UK supports and develops the British education technology (edtech) sector. This is a growing and important sector for our country. Now in its fourth year, the ‘Edtech50’ celebrates those people, products and projects that have helped shape this dynamic sector during this time. Please shine a spotlight on this vibrant sector by helping to nominate the 'Edtech50.'
