Mobile Data

Undressed Update

We'd like to raise awareness amongst schools and parents of our updated 'Undressed' animation and campaign. The animation is designed to start the conversation with even the youngest pupils about not getting undressed when using a device. You can embed it in all kinds of existing materials without support, but recently a PowerPoint lesson has been added, to help schools start the conversation for an assembly or lesson with fun and serious questions to make the point.

Near Space Launch and Picoh Pilot

'Near Space Launch' follows the journey of an Ohbot humanoid robot head launched into (near) space. In the summer of 2021, 80 Picoh Robots were donated to a small number of LGfL primary schools to explore the range of features that physical computing offered in relation to the delivery of the National Curriculum.

The pilot schools have shared their materials and experiences for the benefit of the whole LGfL community and in doing so have created cross-curricular learning resources for maths, geography, history, science and literacy to inspire educators to use physical computing in a meaningful way.

ReadingZone Live Bookclub Events

Join the ReadingZone Bookclub programme of free virtual author events this term. The bookclub is aimed at classrooms keen to develop a love of reading and is aimed at ages 5-11 years.

The next upcoming event is: Percy the Park Keeper with Nick Butterworth, Friday 12th November, 2pm - 2.45pm. For Years 1 & 2 (ages 5-7).

Find out how Nick creates his much-loved picture books and characters, including Percy the Park Keeper. Classes will also discover what’s in store for Percy and his animal pals in their brand-new adventure, 'A Flying Visit', and there will even be some time for live drawing!

The recent ReadingZone Bookclub author events can be viewed by visiting ReadingZoneLive. These include: Matt Goodfellow (who is featured as our Author in Residence), Alastair Chisholm, Catherine Johnson and Andy Griffiths and can be found by completing an author search from the main page.

Adobe FREE LIVE Autumn Camp

A reminder that Adobe's are offering four creative courses; taking place Monday - Thursday every week for three weeks from 1st to 18th November 2021 at 6pm to 7:30pm. The FREE LIVE Autumn Camp offers four learning tracks:

Monday - Graphics
Tuesday - Video & Audio
Wednesday - Design
Thursday - Animation
