Previous guests have included Instagram, Pokemon Go, Fortnite and the makers of Star Wars, Industrial Light and Magic.
STEAM SCHOOL SUMMER OFFER:
We are launching a couple of summer school bundles. We have made this offer available because:
We know that teachers spend the summer term planning and preparing for the next academic year.
Many schools are exploring summer creative and inspirational activities to make up for a challenging year for students.
We wanted to make all of this year's content available to schools at a discounted price to help preserve teacher time so that they can focus on other areas, like catch up!
We also think our programme is a perfect summer school resource!
Our summer package will give schools access to all our resources we have created this year, exploring a Mission to Mars, Fashion Futures, Robotics, and Eco Warriors. Teachers can create unlimited student accounts, giving your students access to young entrepreneurial role models and brands like Virgin Galatic, Under Armour, Instagram, Epic Games and Industrial Light and Magic (makers of Star Wars). Students can choose from 90 STEAM powered challenges as scientists, engineers, digital artists and tech entrepreneurs.
This term, we are exploring THE METAVERSE ... The Future of Entertainment.
The "Metaverse' is a virtual reality concept championed by Epic Games Founder Tim Sweeney, converging gaming, film, sports, events and music in a virtual social ecosystem.Think 'Ready Player One' the movie, Fortnite crossovers with musicians (Travis Scott) and films like Star Wars and the Marvel franchise. Now Epic Games is working with companies like Sony Entertainment on a $2 billion investment to create the next phase of their vision for The Metaverse. We have some fantastic speakers exploring the 'metaverse', virtual reality wearable technology, esports, diversity in gaming and future careers.
The cost for the summer package is just £99 and lasts until 31st August 2021, when schools will be invited to upgrade for a year's membership at a discounted price.
BTEC Creative Media / Esports teachers can upgrade to The Metaverse Package - giving lifetime access to all the broadcasts, learning resources and challenges from this mission. This mission is a perfect addition to your resource bank. Lifetime access is just £199.
