Welcome back! We hope you had the chance for a rest this summer. We have been so busy that we are sending two emails this week (this is #1; the next will arrive on Thursday).

Even though it's a crazy week, we think you will want to know the following (incl one to pass on to your technicians):

Do you use G Suite? Then you need your tech team to look into new settings for under and over 18s. Pass this on! You probably need them to set your teacher 'Organisational Unit' to over 18 so they don't lose access to various apps and settings on 1 September...and you need to be aware that pupils may now lose access to some things, especially on YouTube. Pass this onto your tech teams to look at but they need to take action quickly. NB - we checked and NO, setting teacher as over 18 does not override restricted mode or enable adult content, but lets them keep using some key apps and functions. The default is for all school G Suites to turn to under 18s (which is good of course, but see above).
